Our Favorite Shed Makeovers!
Shed makeovers are a great way to turn your old shed into a fabulous new backyard getaway. I love to look through shed makeovers and think of ways that I can re-do my shed one day!
I’m really enjoying this post from Beneath My Heart where she shares some inspiration for her shed’s future. They plan to eventually paint the shed and the house at the same time so they can match the colors.
She shows several that she is drawing inspiration from. Isn’t this a cute shed makeover? Feels like a little cottage in the woods. I can almost see Hansel and Gretel peering around the corner!
Unique & Creative Shed Designs that Stand Out
I love turning to Pinterest for ideas on my home projects. Here’s a great board for shed pinspiration. One of my favorites is this, shed turned playhouse, or is it a playhouse turned shed? Perhaps, it is both. Sheds are great for dual uses.
This next shed is one in a million. This individual hired a professional artist to paint their shed. The end results were truly unique.

You won’t believe this before and after photo. Personally, I think the coolest thing on this one is the faux french doors painted on.
How to paint French doors on your garden shed:
- You’ll need black and white paint (or two contrasting shades).
- First, paint the door white. Once it is dry, then paint black gloss squares.
Finally, a fabulous shed makeover that started with plates. Yep, plates. The Empress of Dirt needed to give her old shed a new look and she designed her makeover around some gifted blue and white plates to use as the decoration. Here’s the before and after photos.
