  • Installs within 2-3 weeks.
  • Install times may vary during peak and promotional times. Our local office will contact you within 3 business days to schedule an install date

How long does it take to construct my shed?

Although there are exceptions, the majority of our buildings are constructed within one day.

What should I do to prepare the site prior to your arrival?

prepare the ground for shedWe do require the construction area to be cleared and leveled within 6”.  We need at least 3' of clearance around and above the building site. We also ask you place four stakes in the ground where you want the four corners of your building and a fifth stake where you would like the center of the door opening. We will also need access to electricity within 150 feet of the building site and unobstructed access to carry your materials to the building site. We will take care of the rest!

Do I need to be home while my shed is being built?

It is not necessary to be home for the entire construction process. We do ask however that you are available when our installer arrives to show him the proper location of your shed and are also available upon completion of the installation to do a walk through inspection with our installer to insure your satisfaction.

What about covenant restrictions or permits?

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that any building permits required have been obtained prior to the installation date. We strongly recommend verifying your installation by contacting your Home Owners Association and the local Building Department. If engineered drawings, schematics or additional information is necessary, please give us a call, we’re here to help. Depending on the specific requirements, additional charges may apply.

What is your standard warranty?

Your Shed Liquidators shed comes with a 2-year limited material warranty and 1 year warranty on labor. If your shed needs to be repaired, please give us a call.

What kind of paint do you recommend for my storage building?

We recommend a premium quality, 100% acrylic latex paint….like Sherwin Williams A-100 exterior paint. *Don't forget to caulk all horizontal seams/joints before painting for a well-protected, professionally finished result.

I have an existing concrete slab, can you build on it?

Although the vast majority of our buildings are constructed on our sturdy wood floor system, we do have the ability to construct your Shed Liquidators shed on an existing slab provided the slab is level within 1/2", free of open cracks and other defects and is appropriately sized for the shed you’ve selected. Due to the additional installation labor and extra materials needed to properly secure the shed to your slab, there is no reduction in overall price. As an alternative, we can also usually build our wood floor over your existing concrete slab if desired. If you are having a new slab poured, please have your contractor contact us for minimum slab specifications. Allow at least seven (7) days for new slabs to cure prior to the installation of your shed.

What types of standard building materials do you use?

Shed Liquidators buildings are designed to last…we use many of the same building materials common to residential home construction:

  • 40-year treated 4x4 floor runners and 2x4 treated floor joist
  • 5/8" OSB exterior floor decking
  • 2x3 stud-grade wall framing materials
  • 7/16 OSB exterior roof sheathing
  • 20 year A-grade asphalt shingles
  • Engineered, treated wood siding provides resistance against termites and fungal decay

Are your installers insured?

Having someone in your backyard that you can trust is important. We require all of our installers to maintain appropriate liability, vehicle and workman's compensation insurance. In addition, all installers must pass a rigorous background check and complete our training program before becoming a certified Shed Liquidators installer.

Can my shed be moved after it has been constructed?

In most cases, depending on the size of the unit and the distance required, your building can be moved. Please keep in mind that each Shed Liquidators shed is hand crafted on your lot and moving the building will void your warranty. That is why we request your presence at the beginning of the construction phase, to ensure you choose the proper location for your building the first and hopefully last time.

What if I'm unhappy with my purchase?

We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If it's not right, we'll make it right. Your complete and total satisfaction is guaranteed!

What is the best style and size of a storage building for me?

Most customers comment that they have more issues with floor space then wall space, so one method of determining what size you might need is to measure all of the big, bulky items (i.e. lawn mowers, snow blowers, etc.) that will likely be put on the floor of your shed. Also consider the extra space that may be required for walking.

Many of our customers call us stating "I wish I had bought a larger shed". So we recommend buying a shed that is one size bigger than what you think you will need. This also takes into account if you buy any additional items that you will want to store inside the shed.

What types of payment will we accept?

Payment must be made online with a major credit card. Your purchase online is 100% protected. Our certified professional installers will walk you through the storage building when it is completed. We do not offer any financing options at this time. Lastly, your full payment must be paid prior to the shed installation.

Can I buy one of your shed kits online?

Yes! All of our shed kits are available online.

Do the shed kits come fully assembled?

No, we install shed kits on site. Click here for more information on the installation process.

I lost the instructions for my shed; can you send me another one?

Call us at 855-853-8557 and we can email, fax or mail a copy of the shed instructions.

When will I get a call to schedule a date to install my shed?

3 business days / 72 hours after your order is placed.

Can I buy replacement doors or replacement parts for my shed?

Yes, you can order over the phone 855-853-8557.

Can you remove our old shed?

No, we cannot provide shed removal services. Try looking for a shed hauler, towing company or a barn mover to help you remove your shed.

How long will the shed kit installation take?

Usually sheds are installed in one day, but installation times can vary due to the size of the building and weather.

What kind of paint would you suggest to use on the floor of the shed?

Use a high quality exterior floor paint. Garage floor paint is the ideal solution if you plan on installing powered equipment.

Can our shed be installed on piers, etc?

Yes, but we suggest that all sheds be built on concrete slabs and solid cement blocks.

Should installers receive a tip?

It is not a common practice to tip installers. Installers are already compensated to install your storage building.
